Admissions to Ph.D. Programme in Life Science for 2022-2023 are open!
Applications for PhD programme in the subject of Life Science (2 Seats) are invited from all the interested candidates who have qualified PET (conducted by University of Mumbai) and those who are exempted from PET as per the University of Mumbai Circular No. Exam/Thesis/Univ/VCD/947 of 2018 dated 15 December 2018.
Eligibility:
Post-Graduation in Life Science from a UGC – recognized University with 55% marks or above or its equivalent.
Candidates should have obtained Master’s Degree in Life Sciences/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Env. Sciences/ Agriculture/ Medical Sciences/ Applied Biology and allied subjects related to Biological Sciences (Science Faculty) from UGC recognized University; and successfully passed PET examination of University of Mumbai in Life Sciences / SET/ NET/ GATE examinations OR should hold MPhil Degree in Life Sciences from UGC recognized University.
Starting date for receiving applications: 11 January 2022.

PET Marksheet /NET/SET/M.Phil Certificate.
Caste certificate if any.
NOC letter from the employer, if employed presently.
Approval letter, Teaching experience letter and NOC for teaching faculty members for college.
Aadhar Card.
A Demand Draft for an amount of Rs. 200/- (Application Fee) drawn in favour of “THE BOMBAY ST XAVIERS COLLEGE SOCIETY” and mention ‘Name, Mobile No. & for Ph.D. in Life Science’ at the reverse of the DD.
In addition to sending the above-mentioned documents via ‘Registered Post’, applicants are required to email the scanned copies of all the documents in a folder labelled with their name to life.science@xaviers.edu & bipin.patil@xaviers.edu

Display (on college website) of short-listed candidates: 1st February, 2022.
Interview of Short-listed candidates: 2nd February, 2022 (Timings will be informed via mail).
Please note that no separate communication will be sent for interviews.
Application fee – A Demand draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of “THE BOMBAY ST XAVIERS COLLEGE SOCIETY” should be submitted along with application form.
