Dear Students and Parents,
Govt of Maharashtra in its circular dated 14/3/2020 & University of Mumbai in its circular dated 15/03/2020 has issued directives regarding the examination. As St. Xavier’s College is Grant-in-aid college, we need to follow these circulars.
Hence, with reference to these circulars, we will have our II, IV & VI Semester examinations as per schedule i.e. from 16 March 2020.
Only those students who have a paper on a particular day should report to the college on that day. Others must stay at home and study for their exams. Avoid loitering outside your residence as well as in college, unnecessarily.
All lectures for XI std, for MA & MSc, certificate courses, diploma and PG Diploma courses, lectures of XIMR & XIC stand cancel till 31/03/2020. They will be updated on the same website from time to time. They are not allowed to enter the campus till 31/03/2020 unless there is an emergency.
If you feel sick while writing your examinations, please intimate to the invigilator or exam committee immediately. We will be sanitizing bench surfaces across the college regularly. Soap dispensers are placed in various washrooms across the college. Hand Sanitizers have been placed at all required locations. We are trying to procure more Hand Sanitizers but they are not available in the market. You are advised to bring your own sanitizer and mask (simple cotton handkerchief will suffice the purpose), Biometry attendance for staff and students have been temporarily suspended.
Awareness messages are already being displayed on digital Signages, which talk about individual responsibilities and care to be taken by all. Please keep a watch on our website.
In case you need any assistance related to your health, feel free to contact us. I am thankful to the Student Council members for updating me on various requests from students.
Depending upon the prevailing situation, Govt may change the decision and we will have to abide by it. Also, please read the Notification issued by Public Health Department – Point No. 6 very carefully and abide by the same.
Let’s pray together for everyone’s health and safety and brave the situation. All the best for the exams.
Regards, Dr Rajendra D. Shinde Principal St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Mumbai 400001, India
