The Prem Bhatia Awards, instituted in the memory of the late Mr. Prem Bhatia, the eminent journalist, have gone this year to yet another three exceptional journalists reporting on politics and environment and development issues respectively.
Rajdeep Sardesai the well known media personality, and Consulting Editor India Today Group has been selected for The Prem Bhatia Award for excellence in political reporting.
The Prem Bhatia Award for excellence in environmental and development reporting goes to Ishan Kukreti of Down to Earth and Sharada Balasubramanian, independent journalist
The awards will be presented at the 24th Prem Bhatia Memorial Lecture at the India International Centre on August 11th 2019, at 6.30p.m. The annual lecture this year is being delivered by Admiral Arun Prakash (Retd.) former Chief of Naval Staff on “India’s Contemporary Security Challenges”.
