St. Xavier’s has been selected as a Winner in the Enabler category – Inclusive Schools – Higher Education at the Nipman Foundation Microsoft Equal Opportunity Awards 2018.
This year, they received 200 applications and winners were selected after a rigorous selection by an independent Jury chaired by Ms. Stuti Kacker, Founder & Former Secretary, Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. E&Y was the official tabulator for the awards.
Nipman Foundation was founded by Nipun and Priyanka Malhotra with a vision to be an enabler to Persons with Disabilities, ensuring they can live productive happy lives. The awards, instituted in 2014, are now in their fifth edition and have expanded in to seven categories.
This year, Mr. Hardeep Puri, Honourable Minister of State, Housing and Urban Affairs was the Chief Guest and Ms. Shakuntala Gamlin, Secretary, Dept. of Empowerment of Person with Disabilities, Government of India, was the Guest of Honour.
